Andrew John Budds began making teddy bears in 2003 when he was 15 years old.  His bears are inspired by his and his family's childhood teddies and by the vintage bears he has collected.

Andrew likes to create bears which have a well-loved vintage look and feel. His bears are eclectic in style, in hope that they look part of a collection of old cherished bears.

Doug's Bears was the first authorized retailer of Andrew-John Bears in North America. Andrew's works can also be found in the UK at Abracadabra Teddy Bears and The Bear Shop, Norwich.
