Lynne trained as a graphic designer and for many years illustrated children’s books, many of them stories about bears! She made her first bear in 1996 named him Jack after her young son and was hooked on bear-making from then on!
Having always loved working with textiles, quilt-making and embroidery and collecting vintage fabrics, buttons and trimmings she often incorporates these when making her little creations.
Lynne became a full-time bear-maker in 2007 and makes not only traditional bears but also loves to design and make some more quirky little characters!
Doug's Bears is the only authorized retailer of Jack & Lilia Bears and friends in North America.
